After looking at expensive, thicker glass and stone tiles, we opted for these as we don’t have the tools to cut thicker tiles. We tried thicker glue-on tiles before and had to abandon that project. We discovered thick glue on tiles was too hard for us to cut around outlets. We also damaged our drywall by removing the one thick tile we attempted to glue on. We preferred working with these thinner sheets because they are easy to cut outlet holes, and outlet covers can be placed on top with no issues with plugs being too far from the sockets. We are not handy with home repairs and were able to install these ourselves in one afternoon! I only needed scissors, a razor-blade knife, a level, and a hand-held sander.
